Abstract Submission - now closed

Guidelines for abstract preparation and submission:

  • When uploading your submission form, from your file upload interface you may need to change the dropdown from 'custom files' to 'all files' to find your word document on your computer

  • All abstracts must be submitted and presented in English

  • All presenting authors must register for the meeting

  • Submission of abstracts describing unpublished results are strongly encouraged

  • The main text of the abstract should not be longer than 400 words

  • Please download the abstract submission template from this bottom of this page and save with a file name format 'First name-Surname' e.g. 'Joe-Bloggs' as word document

  • Abstracts can only be submitted online through the submission form at the bottom of this page

  • Authors should select one of the topics below as the primary subject of their abstract

    • Phagocytosis & Efferocytosis

    • Paediatric Innate Immunity

    • Phagocyte Mechanosensing

    • Phagocyte Flavours

    • Evolution & Development of Phagocytes

    • Phagocytes in Infection

    • Phagocyte-stromal interactions in Disease

  • Authors should indicate their preferred presentation format (oral presentation, flash talk or poster)

  • Participants should not submit or present more than one abstract

  • Information you submit as part of this process will be shared with the workshop organising committee (University of Oxford, University of Sheffield, Queen Mary University London).

When you have finished the submission process you will see an acknowledgement on the screen, and you will receive an email confirmation of your submission. Please check your junk/spam folders as the email may be found there. 

The final decision on allocation of presentations, flash talks and posters will be made by the conference organising committee.

The authors will be notified about the outcome of their abstract in early February 2026. In the acceptance notification authors will be informed about the deadline to register to confirm participation. Abstracts will be withdrawn if the presenting author fails to register for the meeting by the deadline given.
